Tableware – Birds Egg & Semi Matte Blue

These days the tableware is produced to my specifications by the apprentices which means there may be a wait for special orders, especially in the apprentices first year. They have a lot to learn as, not only are they required to throw the work in my style, they also need to learn how to glaze the pieces. I rate the work as it comes out of the bisque firing and if I deem it to be grade B it will be glazed in the old cone 6 oxidation glazes. As the work improves to the grade A standard they are then allowed to glaze in the cone 10 glazes that you see here. You can feel secure in the knowledge that the work is good as it has made it past my critical eye! By purchasing the tableware you are directly encouraging the apprentices and helping to support the program. Potterly yours, Mary
