Welcome to my new explorations in earthenware. There is a lot of testing and playing about as I learn and so many of the pieces are limited.
The Sedementary series. These earthenware bowls have a partial coat of white terra sigillata applied to the exterior, Stoney Grey is the interior glaze used in the bowls below. They are fired to 1945 f in reduction. As there is no glaze on the outside of these pieces the surface will develop its own unique patina over time as it absorbs the oils and such in your dishwater. I recommend hand washing for all my work.
Ramen Bowls; these vary in size but an average is 18cm W x 10cm T, $95.00
Ramen Bowl showing areas that have oxidized in the firing, the orange toned sections. This is part of the fun of reduction firing, no two are alike, as the flames lick through the kiln they create slight variances in the atmosphere.

Concentric Rings series, these bowls have a partial coating of orange terra sigillata on the exterior and are fired in oxidation.

An assortment of earthenware fired in oxidation and reduction. The pieces with the dark rims or are reduction fired, the more orangey pieces were fired in oxidation.
